Bride Price is commerce

Bride Price is commerce

I wrote about my views on bride price. Not really a fan of the practice. I think is and has always been commercial. It looks like a transaction and it is, if we call a spade a spade.

Not knocking on anyone who did it. You do you. It's just something I wish wasn't a thing in the first place. In the article I go through the main arguments for it and why I think some of them don't hold water.

I've love to hear your thoughts on bride price. Do you support it or not? Would you want your fiance to pay bride price. Please let me know what you think of the article as well. Cheers.

Are there any Kenyan ladies on Substack you recommend?

I’d love to read more from Kenyan ladies’ Substack articles. I feel like I’m following mostly western and Indian creators. Please recommend your favourites.

Midnight Bloom: The idea is collection of short dark thriller stories with social commentary and flower themes. I’m not sure if it’s coming across.

I renamed it and republished a few weeks ago. I’m thinking of 15 stories. I’m not sure if they are long enough to satisfy the reader (1800-2000). This is a way for me to blow off steam and sort of purge the stories that are in my head as I process on a longer novel project I’ve planned. It’s hard to know if it’s even average or what I can improve on. Thanks.
