Starting a small long-term vanilla SMP, looking for like-minded players
Looking for a few people to start a long-term vanilla SMP
I’ve been wanting to build a small Minecraft world that doesn’t feel disposable.
Not a public chaos server.
Not plugin-heavy.
Not something that becomes irrelevant in a week.
Just a strict vanilla survival world with a small whitelist group where the world actually develops over time and has a shared history.
The idea is to slowly shape a world that feels like it “evolves” with the players instead of everyone rushing to endgame in 48 hours.
Towns form naturally, roads connect places, people specialize, and builds stay relevant months later.
Server structure (progression-based vanilla)
Instead of hard restrictions that feel artificial, the server follows a shared progression pacing that shapes how the world develops early on:
*Note that there are no plugins forcing you to follow the rules or restrict you access to lategame stuff. This server structure is the heart of the project.
Phase 1 – Settlement (Week 1–2)
The world is intentionally slow and grounded.
Wooden + stone tools focus
Spawn area becomes the first community settlement
Main goal is building infrastructure (houses, basic farms, shared storage, paths)
No rushing progression or skipping ahead
Nether and advanced progression are not part of the focus yet
This phase is about learning who is playing together, not speedrunning Minecraft.
Phase 2 – Expansion (Week 2–4)
The world starts opening up naturally.
Iron tools become the standard progression
Early diamonds exist but are not the focus
Enchanting becomes part of progression (not rush-grinded)
Players begin forming towns, bases, and road networks outside spawn
Exploration and resource gathering increase
Phase 3 – Advancement (Week 4–5)
Mid-game systems unlock fully.
Nether opens officially (you can join at any time but take your time and don’t grind like a mad man)
Brewing, nether travel, and deeper exploration begin
Early mob farms (non-industrial, vanilla-scale only)
Focus shifts toward cooperation, trading, and building infrastructure between players
Phase 4 – Full Vanilla World
After the progression period ends:
Full vanilla freedom
Endgame progression (elytra, bosses, farms, etc.)
World becomes fully player-driven
The earlier phases define the “history” of the server
What I’m looking for
People who:
enjoy long-term vanilla survival instead of rushing progression
like building, exploring, and shaping a shared world
care more about the world feeling alive than “max efficiency”
are comfortable playing in a small, consistent community
understand this is about pacing and shared experience, not competition
No need to be a pro builder or super active daily — just someone who actually wants to be part of a world that develops over time.
