After the crash and burn of our old server, our community came together to build something better… something that would last.

No staff abuse. No pay to win. No AI. No corruption.

We wanted to build a server that players could take part in building. Something we could all be proud to be a part of.

We started as a few refugees hanging out in a discord call, but we built something much bigger. We clocked in and put in the hours. We gamed a little, joked around a lot, and spent so many hours together turning our ideas into a reality.

And while that number doesn’t seem like much in the long run, what you don’t see is the hundreds of conversations, more ideas than can be counted, and the birth of a new home:

Hi, my name is Quin. The past few months i have spend allot of time building my first minecraft server. I started with knowing nothing from servers to trying and making mistakes and figering out how things worked. Now i have a nice gameplay, smooth perfomance, pvp/economy minecraft vannila server.

The server is donutsmp style but with a spawn, PVE arena, player shop wraps and extra things to make it good and fun. Its a crossplay server minecraft java and bedrock can play togeter. I have mutiple pliguns confrigrated so that players can start shops, fight PVP and PVE, expand bases and set homes, building a empire wirh farms to make money (not rigged)

I search players to test the server, for issues, gameplay and performance. I was thinking to let a test phase run for (30 days) and if it is good enough i keep it running with upcomming updates (I first need to do marketing😅)

SleepDebtSMP is a 22+ whitelisted Hard survival world. Vanilla+ meaning we keep the core game intact, then add a few quality-of-life things so daily play isn’t needlessly annoying. No pay-to-win. No bloated plugin menu. No “1000 members / 4 people online” vibe.

We’re building a place people actually log into because they like the world and the people in it.

✨ Why Vanilla+ instead of pure vanilla

Pure vanilla is great until you’ve waited through your fifteenth sleepless night because one person is underground, or you’re punching leaves for half an hour after chopping a tree.

So we keep survival real — Hard difficulty, normal progression, dying still sucks — and layer on comfort:

• 🛏️ One-player sleep — nights don’t hold the whole server hostage
• 🍂 Faster leaf decay — trees feel better to clear
• 💀 Mob head drops
• 🎤 Simple Voice Chat — talk while you build if you want near other players.
• 🗺️ BlueMap — check the world from a browser
• 💾 Nightly backups + scheduled restarts — so the world doesn’t eat itself
• Huge server performance improvements, network routing for those in other countries, you will have half of your typical "foreign" ping.
• Everything is "invisible" so all the improvements etc. you will feel, but not have to deal with menus or slop.
• Discord Server chat, even if you're not in-game you can still talk to everyone else and stay involved!
• Grief Rollbacks & Tracking (If we ever have a player that decides to grief the server, we can simply rollback certain areas and/or check if someone is stealing from you!)

☕ Java and Bedrock both work through Geyser & Floodgate. Same world, same whitelist process.

We’re not collecting Discord ghosts. A smaller active group beats a huge inactive one every time.

Nobody’s killed the dragon yet.

We’re keeping The End closed until the community’s ready to do it together — vote, pick a time, go in as a group for the first fight. That way the big milestone isn’t “three people already finished the game while everyone else is still in iron.”

So if you’re worried you missed the early days and everyone’s already flying around with elytra: you didn’t. There’s still a lot of firsts left on this world.

This isn’t a dictatorship where admins silently change everything overnight.

Bigger changes, events, and direction stuff get talked about with players. People pitch ideas, help run projects, and sometimes end up owning a corner of the server — a district, a shop street, a community farm, whatever makes sense.

If something bugs you and you’ve got a fix or a better approach, say it. That’s how the place improves.

📅 What a normal week looks like

Some people grind farms. Some terraform. Some mess with redstone until 2am. Some just hang in voice and build a stupidly detailed kitchen.

Chat stays pretty chill. Drama gets shut down. Whitelist exists so we can keep it that way.

Hard mode means the world can still kill you. QoL means getting back to playing doesn’t feel like a chore.
