Title: Gold analysis: watching the 4195-4210 resistance zone for a rejection

Gold is approaching the 4195-4210 resistance area, which also lines up with the 4H trendline. I’m watching for a rejection from this zone. If it comes, my view is that price could move down toward the sell side liquidity around 4055, continuing the current bearish trend. Fundamentally, I also lean bearish on gold right now.

For my own plan, I’m looking at short setups around 4195, with my stop above the zone near 4214 and my target at 4055. This is just a continuation of the trend I’m already seeing on the higher timeframe.

My idea is invalidated if an H4 candle closes above 4220. In that case I’ll drop the bearish bias and look for buy setups on a retracement instead.

This is only my personal analysis and how I’m planning the trade, not financial advice. Everyone should do their own analysis and manage their own risk.

Title: Blown accounts taught me discipline: what rules helped you stop revenge trading?

I blew accounts almost every other week. Revenge trades, FOMO, fear, greed, closing winners too early, over and over.

Then I decided I’d only keep trading if I followed my own rules, and if it still didn’t work, I’d quit. The minute I made that call, things changed. The market didn’t change, I did.

Biggest lesson: rules only work if you never bend them, not even once. Most of my losses came from emotions, not strategy.

I’m still learning every day. What rules or habits helped you stay disciplined?

Discipline is the only answer!

Well, you have already heard a lot about discipline in trading but I bet you don't follow it. I will tell you exactly in this post why it matters a lot not just even in trading.

I can't forget my days when losses haunt me down, everyday a revenge trade, fomo, anger, fear, greed and closing my trades too early, blowing my accounts every other week and being in this constant loop forever.

I told myself, I will quit trading only and only when I trade based on my rules and I want to see what will happen after, If I still can't make money day trading, I will just quit but guess what? The minute I made that decision, everything changed! I got three payouts in total and now trading two accounts, and trying to stay consistent and improve further from there.

Sometime you go through shit because God wants to teach you something, I feel so peaceful about those random trades I took, countless blown accounts, sleepless nights because that's what changed me! You reach a point where it's like you do or die situation. You only lose when you quit it.

I'm not saying I made millions but at least I build that unshakeable discipline that 90% traders struggle with.

Discipline is going to be the only answer to trading, there are no shortcuts, I have tried everything.

You need a set of rules that are never going to be compromised. Please if you really want to improve in trading, just take it seriously and if you are not ready to do what it requires then please reconsider whether trading is right for you. You can look for some other business.

What I have learned, trading is 90% mindset and 10% execution.

I'm still learning every day, and I'd love to hear what has helped other traders develop discipline.

Good luck to everyone!

I became profitable after 2 years!

I started trading back in 2024 October, and since then I lost like all my savings in few months and then I was in a phase where I was trying different indicators, groups, signals etc but never seemed to work especially because of my gambling mindset. It seems like the hardest thing I have ever done was to be okay with losses and not revenge trade because that is absolutely pointless. I got into funded account, I would buy instant accounts only and would blow it right in a week or two even I would make some profits, then somehow by luck I got first payout then after that I blew like 5 more accounts back in start of 2026. Then I got a second payout, again almost by a luck. And few days ago, I got a 3rd payout which I got based on my own strategy. I wasted a lot of time and money tho I trade smallest accounts and soon I'm trying to scale. I was so stucked with finding a magical strategy but there was none, I kept shifting them and never made profit. Finally, I found my edge and I'm looking forward to keep getting payouts, I started doing extreme risk management and focusing on risk-to-reward ratio. My big issue was that I was trading a lower time frame like 5 mins and I would usually get stopped out then trade goes in my direction. So instead I shifted to higher time frame like hourly. I trade Gold only but that's what I have been trading since beginning.

You can ask me any questions!

Thanks for reading and good luck to all!
