Year 2 Meadow Update

Seeing some more perennial infiltration from pycnanthemum muticum and tenifolium, heliopsis helianthoides, monarda fistulosa, rudbeckia triloba, and solidago juncea this year, and a continuation of rudbeckia hirta, chamaecrista fasciculata, elymus virginicus, and schizachyrium scoparium.

Maple tree branch snapped while we were away for a week

Hi all, a portion of a tree on my property fell onto my neighbor's garage. I assume I just need to contact my homeowners insurance to see what I'm responsible for? And get an arborist out to make sure the tree is fine? Will my neighbor need to do the same? It's been like this for a week apparently and he hadnt reached out about it. Thanks!

Walnut Bookshelf

Age old story of wife shopping for a walnut bookshelf, me claiming I could do that using only hand tools, and delivering the finished project a year past promised. Had a great time learning dovetails, mortise and tenon joints, how to use a hand planer etc etc. don't be fooled, I made a hundred mistakes, but made a hundred fixes as well.

Disclaimer: I did use a circular saw to cut the boards to length/width, so not truly hand tools only.
