What are the best places (resorts, hotels, etc) to stay on vacation in Destin?

Around Labor Day weekend me and my wife will be driving down to Destin for a vacation. I’ve been there several times as a child, but never as an adult. I want to find some places that are nice stay, somewhat walkable area, things to do around the area, and best for the beach. Doesn’t have to be the best of all three but I’ve done research, but wanting to see if anyone had places they actually went to and would recommend.

2020 - 2021 Silverado Trail Boss

Been looking for a truck for a while now. I like how the tundras and the trail bosses look at feel, but I want to know or get for information on the used ones. Primarily going be a commute vehicle, but on the weekends, I want to throw a kayak and some fishing rods in the bed.

For that make, model, and year, and given the past history I find on the truck, what would be the max milage that would be considered too much to purchase a used one.

I know every truck is different and not all trucks with the same miles have the same wear on them, but I want the truck to last and want to know if there’s any potential issues that could arise with trucks of this model with higher milage.

Truck buying advice

I have been looking for a truck for almost a year. Reliability is one of my biggest things when purchasing a truck. I do a good bit of out doors activities like fishing, hiking, etc, and wanted an upgrade from my mid size sedan that my dad would like back so he can have a daily drive car and it’s time for me to get my own insurance. My goal was to get a full size truck between the years 2020-2024, I don’t need the crazy tech features just a back up camera and apple car play, something I will like because to will be my only vehicle that I will drive.

I’ve gotten pre approved from my bank already. I’ve gotten several insurance quotes for different years, makes, and models. The issue is I haven’t found the right truck for the right price for me At least. I like the Tundras, but the used ones even for private sellers are still in the $38,000+ with 80,000+ miles. Silverados are in a similar area.

I know trucks cost, and I’m aware of the value of them, but I kind of been wanting something with less miles for a lower price. I’ve done research and people buy trucks with high miles all the time, but I want something that will last me a while especially if I’m paying a higher price for it. Any advice if I’m being unrealistic, need to look other places, or any other things to know.
