Grieving the process

I have one daughter via ivf after 4 years of trying. I feel lucky everyday she's here. However I was on a pregnancy sub that I sometimes visit (trying to get the courage to try for no 2 but that's another story) and there a a question about when you should prepare for an intimate exam by an OB or midwife. All the answers were like 37 weeks or just when giving birth. There were no other answers.

I just got this pang of sadness for all that i (and other people doing ivf) have been through. I know others have been through much worse and I'm lucky I have a daughter but it's very different to the majority of womens' experience. Mentally ivf is tougher than physically but thinking of the hundreds of intimate exams really hit home with me.

These are such a good crisp and the ones sold here say made with Irish potatoes so I assume some Irish crisp manufacturer makes them?
