A client recently reached out to me asking if I could paint a small canvas of her mom’s last time on Cape Cod.

I’ll be honest — every commission means a lot to me because someone is trusting me with something meaningful to them. But this one felt especially emotional. It wasn’t just a photo… it was a moment that will never happen again.
Creating something tied to a person who passed away felt incredibly meaningful and honestly a little intimidating too, because I wanted to do it justice.

I already sent it to her and she was really happy with how it turned out, which made me so relieved 🥹 But I wanted to ask — what thoughts or feelings does this painting give you? I’d genuinely love to hear honest feedback, both emotionally and artistically.
