I didn't know if the current marlins were still considered freedom group junk, or have they becomes decent again?

With the new NFA guidelines I am looking to pickup a 357 lever gun, I'll probably primarily shoot 38 special out of it, as I want a whisper quiet or as quiet as I can make it with the best suppressor I can get rifle. Definitely want something hearing safe, the quieter the better.

What's the best 357/38 lever gun out right now?

I was considering the Marlin 1894 SBL Stainless / Gray .357 Mag / .38 SPL but didn't know if I should go with a Henry or something else? Chiappa?
