All my thrown weapoms broke and I had nothing to hit anyone with but a greatshield so I just died soon after, in front of the imp.

I decided to give mage a try at 9chal. Like people told me, it's extremely consistent in the sewers but I feel like it instantly goes away in prison. This is the first run where I actually got past prison thanks to a +3 round shield.

My strategy right now consists of just spamming my wand until the enemy is soul marked, if I get into melee before that, I weaken it and try to corrupt it instead. The armor of affection helps too because shooting with the wand of corruption does not shorten the charm effect. I know it's a very loose build and it is not going to hold up forever, so I'm asking for your help: What are the best physical weapons to choose? And how exactly am I supposed to manage enemies sometimes dealing more than 20 damage (with the round shield and armor)? Thanks in advance!

I can equip the greatshield right now if I use RoMight and a SoU. I can even enchant it, aI just don't know if just going for priest would be better.

First I got 4 rings by floor 2, and 2 of them from a single mimic which is crazy. One of the rings was cursed haste and I had to use 2 SoUs of the sewers to uncurse it, the other was a +1 sharpshooting. I also got glyph of flow, tons of loot, wand.of regrowth in mines shop AND blazing (insanely underrated, did not burn a single scroll yet) from a stone of enchant in the mines. I also found a SECOND RoSS that I reforged with blacksmith. I think I am on low health all the time because the RoH probably doesn't give me time to regen health before more combat lol, also I didn't find a single purity until floor 12, amd my first meat pies were on metropolis. Oh and also 2 healing wells in a row (I forgot about the 2nd one lmao, could head back to it for DK now that I remember)

I beat DK super easily, getting cornered only once, where I had to use PoInvis to get away. Also I could literally afford running through halls for super long looking for golems to kill for imp quest. Also the flex is lots of ki points, 83 health, not starving and lots of food if you don't get it.
