Attorney never showed up in court. Case dismissed. Make sure to show up to court ladies and gents.

Went through a horrible divorce and debt kept piling up. Amex was quick to sue me and in the end the attorney never showed up. So it’s impossible to win in the end.

Also, I am 100 % permanently disabled.

I’m sure it’s been asked before, but I’m looking for someone on here that has gone through getting sued for credit cards, defaulted auto loans. I was working full time for the last 6 years after I retired from the military in 2015. Unfortunately due to my disabilities and a getting severely worse and a horrible divorce, I had to let 2 cars and several credit cards go to default. I responded to a few courts from creditors suing me but still got a court date. Anyone? I’m in Texas, all my income is VA AND SSD.

Anyone ever went through a writ of sequestration with USAA for defaulting on their car loan?

Just wanted to know if there was anything you did on the legal side. I know once they take possession of the car, they auction it and try to make money.

Anyone care to share their experiences?
