obviously violent movies won't make you a serial killer, and they don't have anything to do with nny, but he's being soooo reductive.... something being pure entertainment doesn't mean it's "nothing more". i mean, call of duty is US military recruitment propaganda, and it works. and i know i was definitely influenced in some part by the comics i read as a kid.
nny is just addicted to the yap and his opinions are more adolescent intuition than anything else
i don't really think that's what jhonen vasquez intended in THIS SPECIFIC MOMENT, but me believing he's wrong here helped my reading experience overall
