No idea what to do with this injured bird. Can anyone help?
Any one know how to care for this little guy who hit a window?
Edit: Thanks for all the suggestions :) Contacted the Toronto Wildlife centre, hopefully they’ll get back to me tomorrow.
For now, it’s resting in a large box in a warm, quiet room. Feels odd to leave it there just in the dark, but that’s the advice. Didn’t seem to want water I brought to its beak with a spoon, and I won’t be able to hunt spiders for it, so feeling a bit useless. Hope it’ll be okay.
Edit: Thanks for pitching in, everyone. He held on but I guess it wasn’t meant to be, he’s gone. Idk why I feel like maybe keeping him in the box wasn’t the best thing (ventilated obviously- it’s just that total darkness feels weird, they do have a “mind”), but I followed the wisdom.
No animals got to him and he was warm, so maybe that’s the best we can do. Thanks again!
