Currently a final year student. I was selected in Amazon Summer School, as a result of which I am given an opportunity to apply for the Applied Scientist Intern role (still have to clear OA and interview). However, I believe Amazon would also come via PS2 for SDE Intern role.

My concern is if I apply for the Applied Scientist Role, I may not be eligible to sit at Amazon for my PS2 due to their 6 month cool off period. My assumption is also that it would be more realistic for me to crack Amazon via PS2 than through Summer School Mechanism.

As a consequence, I am planning on not applying via thier Summer School route. Am I making the right decision?

Can anyone help shed a bit more light onto this?
