Right side pain post removal

Hi, I posted a few days ago about some issues I was having with eating post surgery but it seems to be doing better. However, a new problem has arisen. I keep having rights upper quadrant pain where my gallbladder was. They'd be infrequent, but pretty sharp. Now it feels like it is constant. Last night I had the hiccups and it felt like pain was going up to my shoulder / collarbone area and it went down to my ribs at one point. I couldn't even sleep on my right side last night. Now it just feels like there's a mix between a dullish and sharpish ache near that area where my gallbladder was, and it hurts more when I exhale deeply or when I laugh. What should I do? Is this normal? I didn't get it removed for gallstones, I had biliary dyskinesia and long-term inflammation

Gi distress post op day 5 (need advice!)

Hi yall,

I had my gallbladder removed last Friday (6/26). I was able to use the bathroom for the first time post surgery on Monday, and it has slowly gotten worse. Yesterday I would use the bathroom after every meal. Today, I have gone three times urgently since breakfast. I haven't ate anything other than my cereal this morning. I did try to drink a little diet coke for caffeine but I think that's triggering my stomach, even though it wasn't a lot. My stomach is not happy, it just hurts and it almost feels like I have slight heartburn. Is it normal 5 days post op to be running to the bathroom like this? Its not full on diarrhea but it's not normal either. I'm scared and would appreciate advice/feedback!

How did you know it was time?

Hi, I have a surgery scheduled for next week to get my gallbladder removed, but I just want to make sure I'm making the right decision, as there's a lot of unknowns. For context, I am a woman who has IBS and gerd. I have had IBS for as long as I can remember, the gerd was something I found out about a few years ago. I also have a slight fatty liver, but nothing for major concern.

I have had issues eating a lot of food, particularly fatty, fiber, and sugary Foods, so basically everything LOL. I have to eat very plainly throughout the week or else it will cause the flare up from hell. I do Splurge a little bit on the weekends since I have more time to recover on these kinds of foods.

On and off for years I have had all kinds of tests done for my body, ultrasounds, CT scans, gastroparesis test, stool test, blood , and everything came back normal. Last year I got a HIDA scan and found out that my gallbladder is functioning at 26%, and that 38% and more is considered the normal range. So it is slightly not functioning correctly. However, I have had rib pain for about 6 years on and off. And when I say rib pain, it's a little complicated. Sometimes it feels like it's right behind my rib, but more recently it feels like it's on my rib. It is the last rib bone of my rib cage. It will just randomly hurt throughout the day on and off, some days worse than others. Sometimes fatty food will run right through me, and sometimes it'll take a day or two before it hits. I also deal with bloating, even sometimes while I'm eating. Sometimes I also just have to keep running to the bathroom throughout the day or the next day due to eating something that triggered my symptoms. I also deal with a lot of stomach discomfort, usually near top center of my stomach or slightly to the left. It is not as sharp as the rib pain that I feel, but it is still uncomfortable. I deal with nausea sometimes as well from food. I have not had any shoulder or back pain from this right side pain. I have talked to several people about it, and the one nurse practitioner said I should just get it out as I am younger and can recover easier. But, the surgeon who will be doing my surgery said there will be a 60 to 70% chance that it will help, and that my symptoms won't be worse if I get it removed. She was very nonchalant about it and said it was ultimately up to me. I still have my doubts because I don't even have gallstones. It is just this pain that can be crippling sometimes, and when I say it is crippling that is bad because I do have a pretty high pain tolerance.

So I guess when I am asking is has anybody else experienced this? Or does anybody have any advice? My surgery is a little more than a week away and I'm scared that I'm making the wrong decision.

Suddenly worse than before

Hi, I was diagnosed with biliary dyskinesia last year. So I think I've been having issues with my gallbladder for a lot longer than that. I do get episodes of fatty foods, and even fibrous foods. This past week I barely been able to eat all of a sudden. I did have rich food last weekend, but it usually doesn't bother me for too long, just a couple of days. Both Thursday and Friday I was struck with the sudden and burning urge to need to use the bathroom after eating my normal sandwich. I am gluten free and dairy free as well, so I use gluten free bread and dairy-free cheese. And in the mornings I have been usually constipated. Tonight I went out to eat with my boyfriend, nothing fatty. And I am in so much pain and feel so ill. Not to be gross, but I have had the urge to go to the bathroom suddenly again and it's yellow , not quite diarrhea but not solid . Can biliary dyskinesia cause this? Can it just suddenly get worse? Could there be any other reason this is happening?

Cooked Carrots

Does cooked carrots kill anybody else? I just found out my body hates them. I'm trying to add something healthy into my life as I have to eat very plainly due to all of my stomach issues and potential gallbladder issues. If so, what are your symptoms?
