My champion plant is growing strong, but has difficulty setting fruit.

Probably it's the heat (over 30 c daily )

Anyways, a side vine managed to set fruit sucsessfully on its own (pic 1 ).

Wile the fruits on the main vine all withered and aborted (pic 2 ) .

Should I keep the side fruit ? has it any chance of utilising the full potential of the plant?

Or should I keep trying on the main vine?

Tomorrow morning the bud will open.

Should I pollinate? This one is around the middle of the ca. 2.5 - 3m vine.

half a meter from the tip there is another small female bud.

I am eager to pollinate inorder to avoid the intense summer heat.

I'm in greece, zone 9a

Is it normal to already develop buds while not even starting to vine?
