My birthday is this month and my only ask was to go to a restaurant with my family.
Earlier today, my mother came up to me and told me that we couldn’t because it would be too expensive and my father doesn’t like going out to eat
Honestly, I don’t get why we can’t go out just once a year for my birthday. It’s the only time I ask, and I usually don’t get presents anyways (sometimes I get money)
I feel like it was phrased in such a way that I’d feel guilty if we ended up going to a restaurant in the end since I’d feel bad for it being expensive
I’m honestly just disappointed as for the past few weeks it’s all I’ve been excited about and now I have virtually nothing to look forward to :/
