Did you do lasik in 40s knowing presbyopia was on horizon?

Interested in hearing from anyone who is already in 40s and got standard lasik corrections (distance) rather than monovision. Did you feel it was worth it? Was using readers okay once you needed them, even if earlier than later? TIA!

I’m torn! 40s ladies, how was your lasik experience?

I’m 42 and had a consultation for Lasik and have been deemed a good candidate. I feel like if I’m going to do it, I should do it now - in spite of encroaching presbyopia. I work at a computer so I’m okay with readers to ease the strain but would like to live primarily glasses free as long as I can. I have astigmatisms in both eyes which is my most major motivating factor for the surgery. No prescription extremes though. Anyone a similar age when they had surgery and have a similar vision profile and can share their experience?

I’m second guessing after reading the risk form! TIA!
