This is my first year growing chillies, I’ve been growing them in the conservatory and putting them outside during the warm spells when there is no wind! One is jalepeno and the other is apache, how do I know when they are ready to pick? Do they get hotter the longer you leave them on the plant?

Any advice would be much appreciated!
