Second Hand Purchasing Etiquette?

Newer to thrifting so I’d love to get a better understanding of etiquette, particularly with Selks or similar lines. I’ve been told to ALWAYS negotiate and offer if I can, but I never want to lowball anyone. That being said, it also has gotten hard determining how much to offer, especially on resellers, who clearly only has an item just to sell. I get it’s a way to make money for most people, but it also irks me especially when I see actual owners wanting their item to go to a good home at a lower price point. I’m not sure whether it’s acceptable to negotiate on the Facebook groups or to just keep it within the third party resale apps, or if it’s acceptable to see cross posts and offer the best price from whichever post. I’d appreciate any input and good to knows!

Selkie’s Return Policy?

Hi! I’m a Selkie noob and have only really bought second hand. I was considering buying something from the sale, but then I stopped and thought about it. Why do I see lots of girlies putting up stuff for sale “before” they return it instead of just doing it right away?🤔
