The home defense perk

I like this perk, the idea if setting traps for my foes to find is very much in the style of the character.

But how long does it take to make them? Can can you do it in the field away from crafting benches and the like?

Thanks

Working out encounter levels

I have scoured the books and can't find information on how many enemies to throw at a given party level? I have seen online references about adding up the level of the party and rolling a pool of CD to determine encounter levels but can't find that either?

I have found a table which lists how much exp a quest should work out to if its minor or major quest, is that the total exp for monsters? And is that level average, highest or total for the party? So a level 1 minor quest would only face 2 normal level 1 npcs for example?

Book page ref would be handy please :)

Thank you

Complexities for settlers guide weapon mods

Hi,

Where can I find the list of complexities for the mods in the settlers guide, specifically for the harpoon gun?

As an aside, is there specific rules for retrieving bolts/arrows and harpoons?

Thanks

Ammosmith perk doubling

On the ammosmith perk, when you roll the extra dice to generate more ammo and you double it for each effect do you multiply to base multiple times or do an exponential doubling.

For example if I rolled

Effect,Effect,Effect,hit, 2 hits (total 5 hits)

Is it

5 + (3x5) for the three Effects = 20 bullets

Or

5×2=10 x2=20 ×2= 40 bullets

Thank you

Good afternoon.

I hope its ok for me to ask for advice here but I currently own a 70mm/700mm meade refractor and recently along with my young son have been getting quite into our planet gazing.

So I want a new scope, I am currently looking at these following options with a budget of £2-300

  • Celestron starsense explorer 114mm (the dobsonian not the bird-jones)

  • skywatcher heritage 90p virtuoso (mak-cas)

  • skywatcher heritage 114p virtuoso

  • skywatcher heritage 130/150p dobsonian

The tracking and digital assistance are weighted highly for me because my gazing buddy is 7 so his patience to wait while we find objects and his ability to manually track things is limited. We mostly want to observe planets.

I like the skywatcher 90 because it looks like a good package and the mak seems like it requires less collination than other reflectors. But I worry that going 70mm refractor to 90mm reflector is not actually an upgrade due to the obstruction reducing relative light gathering surface.

The larger skywatchers seems good, but between the lack of tracking and the exposed secondary mirror, I have reservations.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you
