I’m 32 y/o and 34 weeks with a low-risk pregnancy (normal NIPT, NT and 20-week morphology scan). My midwife said everything is looking great today—baby is head down, heartbeat is good and growth is on track.

The only reason I’m considering an elective growth ultrasound is for reassurance since I haven’t seen baby since 20 weeks. It’s out of pocket though.

For those who had a low-risk pregnancy, was an elective growth scan worth it? Did it actually reassure you?

Has anyone claimed employer-paid maternity leave from two jobs while also receiving the Australian Government Paid Parental Leave?

For context:
Baby is due in August.
I have a permanent part-time job (0.8 FTE) where I’ll be taking 14 weeks of employer-paid maternity leave first.

I also have a casual job that I’ve worked at for 5 years (about 2 shifts or ~15 hours per fortnight), and I’m eligible for paid maternity leave there as well.

I’m wondering if it’s allowed to receive the maternity leave payment from my casual employer at the same time as the Government Paid Parental Leave, just to supplement my income, rather than only relying on the Centrelink payment.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Were you able to receive both, or were there any restrictions? I’d love to hear your experience.
