Currently have a Versys 650 but I came from Harley’s and I hate the lack of low end torque and how buzzy it can be. Love pretty much everything else about the Versys.

I can get a new V800 for quite a bit less than a new Tracer 9 due to left over model year discounts.

My priorities are comfort on and off highways, power and spirited rides through the twisties.

I sat on a T9 quickly today at a dealer and it felt pretty similar to the Versys in terms of ergo, but my god is the seat hard as a rock.

V800 seems like just a slightly less powerful but more relaxed ergo and entry… though panniers and CC will eat up some of that difference…

Opinions?

I bought my Versys brand new last year, had it last serviced at 600 miles. After pulling it out of storage this spring, I went to change the oil (I know should have done it before I stored it) and noticed with the bike upright and level there was no oil showing on the sight glass. So I topped it off and it was about 3/4 of a quart low… That was at ~1200 miles. Now at ~1500 miles I can tell the level is lower than what I filled it to… Has me a little worried for a brand new bike… Is this normal for the 650 p-twin?
