Hello! I was cleaning my houseplants yesterday and noticed some orange residue coming off my money tree. There was a bit of it on my snake plant and Swedish ivy as well. It didn’t show on the plant by itself, just showed up on the damp paper towel. Anyone experienced something like this?

We burn candles in the house if that can be related. I’m worried it could be some kind of fungus. My friend said maybe this can happen if there are lilies nearby but the only flowers I’ve had nearby are some fresh cut peonies and freesias that were on the coffee table about 6 feet away for a week or so.

The money tree gets a good amount of filtered daylight through a south facing window right to the left of this shot as well as some indirect light from the grow lights on the shelf next to it, and it gets watered about once a week, sometimes more or less depending on how dry the soil is. She’s been a pretty healthy and happy plant for the past couple of years and given us 5 or 6 pups.
