Lets talk glass recycling

Please explain to me how Columbia remains the lone city out of this state that chooses not to use Ripple glass for our recycling needs? It’s not the space needed for their roll-over collection bins and it’s not the need for trucks for transport or the area needed for bin collection. This city has all of those and you have a company ready to get recycling of glass started within 2 days yet here we are, over a year since the tornado destroyed the recycling center. It is even crazier to think that Columbia is about to start recycling collection weekly for city residents while cities and towns such as Jeff City, Fulton, and Moberly all have collection spots. Get Ripple glass here yesterday. It’s a win-win, by eliminating trash that has been going to Columbia Landfill, glass is recycled for future reuse, and a 3rd-party takes it away for the city making the weekly recycling run easier and with the ability to pick up more on a daily basis due to the weight associated with glass. Rant over.
