Going to be studying in Germany

Hello people,
I am an 18 year old from Sri Lanka who has done the local Government GCE O levels from my local School and the Pearson Edexcel IALs privately. I have gotten 9 A passes from my O levels and I am expecting ABC for Maths, Physics and ICT respectively for my IALs.

My aim is to apply for a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Except Chemical Engineering as I didn't do chemistry for A levels).

I am fully aware that Pearson Edexcel IALs and the Sri Lankan Government O levels are recognized in Germany and I realize that a minimum of 3 C passes are needed from my Edexcel IALs. Also, my 3 subjects are independant of each other and are listed under List A in the Anabin Database for International Advanced Level offered by UK's Pearson.

I'd love it if anyone can tell me if I have a chance on getting accepted by a good university.

Also, I got told that my German GPA from these grades wouldn't be high enough to get accepted by a good uni.

Can any of you also tell me how I will prove my 12 years of ascending School attendance which is required and is listed as a rule in the DAAD website when I search up the requirements for International A levels?

Thanks

School leaving certificate issue

I am a student from Sri Lanka planning to apply for a Bachelor's degree in Germany, and I would like to clarify my educational background regarding the school-leaving qualification requirement.

I attended a Sri Lankan government school (Mahinda College) from Grade 1 until approximately halfway through Grade 12. In the Sri Lankan education system, Grade 12 is the first year of the GCE Advanced Level stage, and the government GCE Advanced Level examination is normally completed at the end of Grade 13.

While I was still attending school in Grade 11, I began preparing for Pearson Edexcel International Advanced Levels privately alongside my local GCE Ordinary Level studies in 2024. After completing my GCE O/L examinations, I continued with the Pearson Edexcel International A Level pathway instead of continuing with the Sri Lankan government GCE A/L pathway.

I completed my Pearson Edexcel International A Levels in May 2026 and I will receive the official Edexcel certificates.

My concern is regarding the school graduation information. If I request a school leaving certificate from my former school at this point, it may only state that I attended until Grade 12 and may not show completion of the Sri Lankan GCE Advanced Level stage, as I completed my Advanced Level qualification through Pearson Edexcel instead.

Could you please confirm whether my Pearson Edexcel International A Level qualification, together with my previous school education (Grade 1 to halfway through Grade 12), is considered sufficient as my school-leaving qualification for the uni-assist application?
