Orientation- do I really need my backpack?

Hi! I have orientation tomorrow and I brought my backpack and laptop, but it’s going to be very hot so I don’t know if I can carry it around all day. I know I need to Day 2 for meetings and stuff, but do I really need to carry it around for Day 1? Will I be fine with a little bag with water, iPhone, and a fan?

Do I have MALS?? CTA test results

I just got my CTA results back and I’m really confused if this means I have MALS or not. I attached the photo of my results. I asked chat gpt because I was really confused (I had to because it was so unclear), and it said I don’t have MALS based on this.

The MALS doctor I am seeing at Mayo Clinic said if I have MALS it’s definitely Atypical MALS. Which makes me confused

Symptoms
I have been having pain my whole life in my stomach. It got better/ more manageable for a while but the past 9 ish months it’s been unbearable. I got hospitalized 4 times in a 3 month period.

I have extreme nausea after I eat. It isn’t certain food triggers, because I could eat something one day and feel sick and the same thing the next day and not be sick.

My pain is in my lower abdomen/ pelvic area. Never really upper. It comes in all forms: sharp, dull, ache, stabbing. The nausea also comes on randomly.

I gained quite a bit of weight (15 lbs) in the past few months, but I haven’t been eating a lot more than normal.

I am terrified of eating a lot.

It’s very hard to eat in the mornings, but at night I can eat a full meal without food anxiety or pain.

I also have severe joint pain, classic POTS and dysautonomia symptoms, and classic MCAS symptoms.

Other conditions
EDS
POTS
MCAS
Obstructive sleep apnea

Other possible explanations for the stomach pain/ nausea

Endometriosis
PMOS
MCAS - unlikely

Kenan Flagler FBA Bridge Program

Hi everyone! I wanted to reach out to the 400 students who were admitted to Kenan Flagler directly for the upcoming fall, or anyone who knows someone can weigh in!

Did anyone apply to the FBA Bridge program? It is a new program this year only for FBAs, that took 40 applicants.

I just got word that I got in, yay, and I was wondering if anyone else heard back. Good news or bad news welcome.

Pasted description:
In partnership with Carolina Housing, we're piloting FBA Bridge: a new cohort-based experience for approximately 40 incoming FBAs who want a deeper, more connected first-year experience.
How It Works: FBA Bridge differs from a traditional Residential Learning Program (RLP) in that it is not tied to a specific residence hall. Participants will be assigned to a residence hall through the standard Carolina Housing process just like every other first-year student. FBA Bridge adds an additional layer of community, featuring small-group events held throughout the year in various residence halls.
How to Apply: Complete this short application by Sunday, June 14 at 11:59 p.m. ET. We will notify selected applicants by the end of June.
Please note that submitting this application does not guarantee a spot in the opportunity.
