I have been working for a little over 2 years for a mental health organization which corporate HQ is in Massachusetts, my organization is part of a network of that corporation also HQ in MA, and my organization is in Washington State. 3 weeks ago I was prompted via ADP to “confirm my job position” and a few days later do a background check via the larger corporation. The company has been reorganizing, expanding, and additionally taking on Medicaid clients which we previously did not. Internal insurance audits for appointments have been going on but mine came back with no issues. I also got a raise recently but not eligible for promotion yet. It seems as if I was picked at random for this because nobody mentioned any issues with me. Any idea of why I’m getting checked?

Lately I’ve been feeling like I’m a horrible therapist. I see other clinicians use all these CBT, DBT, IFS modalities like it’s nothing and I’m here, a narrative therapist, just winging it. My supervisor says I’m “above my peers” but I don’t even know what that means. Good at building rapport? Because I know I’m good at that. Helping people? Not so much 😢
