Does anyone know the minimum number of years a character reference needs to know an applicant for Westchester County, or how to find out? I can’t find it anywhere on the county clerk website

Also I found out from my 18 hour course that effective May 1st, 2026, you no longer need to purchase a firearm prior to submitting your application. Of course the application on their website still says you need to. It’s crazy we can’t get basic competency from our government to update documents in a normal fashion

I don’t know if this sounds ridiculous, but I like to be very prepared for things. Do people bring a notebook to the 16 hour course?

Should you be taking notes throughout it or do they provide you with materials to look at and maybe write notes on?

Also, is there a lunch break or something lol
