What to improve after i got rejected?

Hello guys, this year I applied to KAIST hoping that I had high chances of being accepted, but sadly got rejected. So this year I wanted to reapply there for spring. Here are my current

Stats:
SAT: 1540 (superscore)
IELTS: currently 7.5 (planning on retake to get 8-8.5)
GPA: 4.82

EC's:

  1. Full stack web developer – developed digital platform SEM(Sport Event Management) that helps Sport Federations manage competitions by handling the whole process(including transportation, accommodation, visa applications, Id badges etc.) from athletes arrival to departure; it has been acquired by Uzbekistan’s Weightlifting Federation and will be first used at an international competition this August.
  2. Entrepreneurship – Founded OSMIY INC, an ecosystem merging infographics, digital promotion, and software development, along with 3 friends. We had over 30 clients, we have 2 trusted partners, our designers team created over 2500 infographics, and we took one project from government. The company is currently a bit young(about 5 months since foundation), but we are striving to grow bigger.
  3. Created a-entry.com, platform which is used by AWF(Asia Weightlifting federation). Basically it is a platform for national weightlifting federations to register their athletes for competitions. instead of sending emails and documents back and forth, federation officials from each country add their athletes and register them to competition. Currently used by 40+ Asian countries and stores information of more than 450 athletes. Will be used for 2028 Olympics qualifiers.
  4. Full stack mobile app dev – Created a dental clinic management application that assists doctors in managing appointments and clinical operations (and much more). The app includes full AI integration, allowing users and doctors to chat with it, ask him to book appointments for example, and basic advising. In addition, the app enables patients to track their treatment progress in real-time.
  5. Desktop application + hardware engineer – creating a competition system (desktop app + Hardware) which is used in competition by federation to register decisions of referees, process them, and give results. Basically it is a system involving custom integrated hardware like marshal keypads, referee buttons, and jury buttons to automate and handle the entire competition process in real-time. (software is already done, hardware is building right now)
  6. Created u-entry.uz, same as a-entry.com, but at national level, only for Uzbekistan.
  7. Web Developer Intern – UZWF (Uzbekistan Weightlifting Federation) – developed a website used by 50+ trainers across Uzbekistan to register and track athletes; it became the federation’s official platform.
  8. Developer Club Admin – DevUnity – Lead the DevUnity club by mentoring newcomers, coordinating activities, and organizing events attended by over 100 participants.
  9. Web Developer – N/A – Assisted in creating a physics learning website expected to be used in schools across Uzbekistan.
  10. Research Assistant – Tarteeb – Conducted survey research (100+ participants) on AI use in English learning and assisted in data analysis and summary.
  11. Volunteer – PIIMA – Coordinated volunteers and supported international guests during large-scale international events.
  12. Semi-professional Rocket League player – Member of Uzbekistan’s national Rocket League team; ranked top 2 nationally and top 0.75% worldwide.(lowkey might be the reason why I am on a gap year)

Also planning on doing research on how widely AI is used in Uzbekistan in IT sphere. I did some small survey in the .NET community about this, and based on the results, my conclusion is that even though there are a bunch of AI agents and tools that can make production phase rocket fast, probably 95% of big developers are currently not using them. In addition, I already contacted Uzbekistan’s (probably)best .NET developer and Microsoft MVP(here is his channel: https://www.youtube.com/@dasturlashniorganamiz ) and we are planning to collaborate and create a course on how to use AI in development.

Honors:

  1. APIO(Asia Pacific Informatics Olympiad, 35+ countries) 2025 bronze, 1st from my country
  2. 3rd place in city olympiad, 2024
  3. got honor from ministry of education

Job(s):
One of Main, TOs(Technical Officials) of Uzbekistan Weightlifting Federation

So, what are your suggestions I can improve, except the essays. I just wanted to know what KAIST wants to see in their students so maybe i could focus a bit more on it.
