I need to know if i’m not insane for disagreeing with comments i’ve seen, like En’en not being attracted to Jinshi some people are saying she’s poorly written because she kinda ruins Jinshi’s “whole thing” about being hot and loved by everyone…but gang she’s a lesbian… Maomao and Suirin aren’t attracted to Jinshi but I don’t see them being called poorly written like is that a double standard?? ( I hope I used that term right )

Also En’en is getting hate for calling Jinshi “some guy” and yes it would probably be a shock to the court at their time, but 1 she didn’t even say it infront of him and 2 the person she said it too was Maomao who has probably done and said worse things to Jinshi while infront of him like lets not act like En’en trips Jinshi whenever he walks by her, she still knows his rank and gives him the treatment he deserves

Then calling her a 2D character, like either we are being ignorant on her character or we are just hating to hate, En’en isn’t some character hopelessly devoted to Yao (even though she basically is) she shows she can oppose to her mistresses ideas and wants, even if she can’t say it, she’s a great cook because her older brother is (which lines up with her backstory) and also on that topic one of the main reasons why En’en is devoted to Yao is because Yao basically saved En’en and her older brother from having nowhere to go, along with the fact the Mi clan probably made her like that too, when without Yao instead of being a mindless background npc, she can still be sensible and mature (like we’ve seen in volume 7 when En’en apologised on Yao’s behalf) and actually very opinionated (like in ln 13 on En’en’s day off), even while being those things she can still get petty or contradictory whenever Yao is involved

Yk this might just be me and I might be nit picking but like the comments i’ve seen are lowkey unreasonable

No hate to people that hate/dislike En’en you hate who you want but let’s just give a better reason, even no reason is better than these

Tell me if some of this is wrong and I will try to correct it if I ever go on this topic

I draw En’en ALOT unfortunately im not good at drawing Yao’s hair 😅 and one of the reasons why I want fanart of them is because I REALLY want to edit them, but with me posting this I also want ideas on what clothes En’en and Yao would wear in other au’s such as modern/College au’s but really just any AU - unfortunately i’m not very good at fashion 😭

This is my art of En’en as a kid, although I think it’s closer to an AU than canon - this is also based off of nowhere from Alien stage (Ivan’s 2nd sub-song :3) the only reason why is because did this was because En’en said nowhere when saying the story about the 2 chefs

But if anyone has En’en / Yao fanart please send it! I really need it !!

En’en is a character that hasn’t developed much from what I can see (as someone who absolutely LOVES En’en)

The most En’en has done from what I can see is do acts of service for Maomao (cooking mainly) as a “friend” or colleague at the least, she hasn’t had much progression, she’s still utterly obsessed with Yao, unable to directly speak of what she wants/her opinions to Yao (like moving out of Lahans household) and she is still scaring men away from Yao

Yao meanwhile has grown/developed more, she’s matured from the first time she met Maomao, she’s shown to be warmer and more of her character like her motivation on becoming a physician, her determination and being incredibly headstrong when she wants to, and learning how to hold her tongue better when in situations

The info i accumulated from En’en is, she’s devoted to Yao ever since Yao saved En’en and her brother from poverty, when without Yao she can become a better character with her own thoughts and personality that isn’t just about devoting herself to Yao and she has great information gathering.

Please tell me if any of my info is wrong! - but the main point of this post was to know how En’en can grow because I really want a idea above her obsession with Yao is just gone
