First time making pickled cucumbers

Just proud of how these turned out!

I've made successful sauerkraut, kimchi, and a fermented hot sauce in the past, so I'm not a stranger to fermenting.

But I've never actually made pickles (cucumbers) before! I got these while in Niagara and thought I'd finally try it. I also now have a kitchen scale, so I can be more accurate with the brine.

I loved seeing the progress over time of how the ferment changes! And all the little indicators that tell you it's doing well (colour, garlic, bubbles, smell) just excited me (I'm a bio nerd).

I'll post a brief recipe in the comments

Can anyone ID this cup for me? (Hamilton, ON)

Hallo!

I found this prefect little ceramic cup at a restaurant tonight, asked the bar tender and waitress, and apparently no one knows where it came from. My guess is someone got it from Hamilton Art Crawl? It has a wonderful weight to it and I love the colour and design!

There are no maker mark or ID on it, so hopefully someone on Reddit recognizes the style and knows the artist!

Quick question about how to rule a clearing

I just found out about this game maybe a month ago from a friend and fell in love! We played the tabletop version, but I recently bought the steam online version of the game and sometimes the rules of the game confuse me (mostly b/c the computer is doing it for me).

I played the dominance challenge, and I won the game somehow, but I didn't understand how I ruled the final clearing. 2/3 fox clearings I obviously had rule as I had 4+ warriors there, but the last fox clearing had a WA sympathy token, an Eyrie roost, and one Cat warrior (my faction). Somehow I ruled that clearling and won at birdsong???

I'm mostly confused because I thought the Eyrie would've ruled that spot given there was a tie. Does rule only work with the meeples (warriors)? Is there a priority system to it?
