Christmas Vacation Suggestions

This year for Christmas, we are determined to spend it away from home. It would be the weekend of Christmas to the day after New Years most likely.

It will be my mom, my husband and I and our 3 year old and 6 month old. None of us have ever skied but not against it just haven’t done it before and think the logistics would be hard with 2 kids, bringing a nanny is out of the question.

We are located in the south so definitely would like a different area.

We don’t want Disney, would prefer to stay in the country (US).

We don’t have a set budget.

I was thinking the Biltmore but it’s already booked up. I’ve never traveled for Christmas before except to Europe so hit me with US suggestions!

Leaving Board after a month

I joined the executive board of a nonprofit as treasurer last month.

I was told the position was mainly a liaison between the executive director and CPA firm.

However, after joining, it turns out the relationship between the executive director and the bookkeeper is quite contentious.

I’ve had a few calls with the bookkeeper about issues and then I met with the executive director and she told a completely different story.

All that to say, I’m a CPA myself and I joined the board to serve the organization not play middle man in tension filled correspondence. It just seems like so much drama and office politics.

My meeting with the executive director did not go well at all and I don’t feel she is open to changes that would be necessary to the financial management.

Before getting deeper into this mess, I want to just resign. I don’t want to deal with it. I’m also at least 15 years younger than anyone else involved and feel completely out of place and doubt I’ll be able to truly fix anything.

Am I horrible for wanting to resign already? Should o try and stick it out?

I would just send a quick email.

Brother name to pair with Nadia

Daughters name is Nadia. I want a boy name that goes with it but isn’t too overused. Middle Eastern/Latin mix for these American kids so need the name to make sense for all cultures. Would love some suggestions!

Front runner right now is Adrian
