TAP rejection, advice please
I’m confused, when applying for TAP I was told that even tho I was repeating my leaving certificate in 2025-2026 I was still eligible for TAP. But now I’ve just been rejected as it’s been over “2 years since my secondary schooling” but when I started this repeat it was within the 2 years? I fit every single other eligibility and was told this was fine??? Anyone have any advice.
Complete rearranged my CAO
Idk if it’s post exam stress but my cao has been completely changed. Lowkey don’t even think it’s gonna matter because I’m almost certain I have failed ORDINARY level maths due to circumstances i literally couldn’t control 😛😍
Confused on a WhatsApp glitch.
Basically to cut a long story short, my ex is blocked everywhere including WhatsApp. Woke up today to me and his chat as my most recent, with a timestamp of 8:02am. He’s been blocked for months so I’m confused on if he tried to contact me and it somehow notified me without showing me the message (because when I click on there’s nothing new there obviously as he’s blocked) or if it was a random glitch! Very strange if it was because what are the chances of it glitching and it being his chat! I know if I unblock him it won’t show me if he sent a message so I guess I’m just asking what it was more likely to be or if anyone else has had similar happen?
Ending on a high
HL Business ATEEEE , lowkey the best paper this year imo. Left my exam 20 mins ago and I already have a pint in my hand 😎😎
Just tipped a can of monster that was right side up, upside down thinking it was the opposite….my cue to sleep
Just did an absolute masterclass of business cram so I’m content enough, all units covered 😎😎😎😎
Feeling fantastic in the last night of cramming
As much as an extra day of study would have been nice and a break probably would have made the exam go better (less tired) I’m actually chuffed business is tomorrow. Knowing even if you’re up all night studying it doesn’t matter because after this exam it’s alllllll over. Cramming feels so good because it’s the last time you’ll ever have to do it, peak flow state rn.
I think maths is going to be the reason I don’t go to college
My points are going to be fine but maths just does not click into my head. I’m repeating my leaving cert because of maths and I’ve put in the work I try and I try and I try! I learn by looking at a past paper and being like “first step: move the second number to the 4th spot in the sum “ etc etc because I can’t register it in my brain any other way. I’ve had 2 grinds teachers and both have asked me if I have dyscalculia 😭😭😭 I’m not stupid, I know this. I do well in my other subjects, but it does not seem fair that I put in the effort, I spend the time, and still this will be the reason I cannot progress to college. Paper 1 ,I spent 8 hours the day before just doing past papers I didn’t even open a geography note and I still feel like geography went astronomically better. I thought I’d maybe done well enough that paper 2 might save me until I started reading what everyone else got for everything on paper 1 ,realised I’ve fucked it. I know I have paper 2 still to fight for a pass and trust I will be putting in the work but no matter how much I revise each day when I go again I feel like I’m starting from scratch I don’t remember anything. I know there are PLC routes, and I also know maths is important but alot of college courses don’t touch maths at all yet still have a required grade for it. It’s upsetting and seems unfair. I could walk out with 500 points and none of it will be matter if I fail maths how fucked is that. Whole year of my life wasted. Anyways rant over just feel so stuck in a never ending cycle of close but never close enough.
Geog help for u guys (long post but easy to remember)
For anyone fighting for their life these points (with common sense attached) can be turned into an essay
• west of Ireland (regional) - peripheral region, located along Atlantic seaboard. Rugged landscape (mountains bogs indented coastline). mild but wet. Heavy rainfall strong winds. Impact on settlement pattern and economic development (just think back arse of nowhere, opposite of Dublin)
•Economy based on primary and service activities
Land suitable for main sheep farming because its wet and has bad soil quality
Heavily rely on fishing for their economy, this also provides jobs and supports local business
Tourism also majorly grown, due to landscapes (just think aesthetic reasons think of the annoying Americans), national parks such as corremore and places such as the Gaeltacht for the Irish language, culture and history!
• talk about population decline,
how jobs are scarce, people are other relocating abroad or to more urban parts of the country,
Finding a home is harder, transport is ship
BRAZIL. Out of Europe region
• large population, growing in recent decades. In South America. Has uneven development (faveles these are the photos of the houses you would see all squashed together vs san paulo and Rio de janerio)
Industrial economy is heavily based in San Paulo and Rio de janerio. Rural and poor area never see development
• diverse economy. A lot of natural materials. Good for farming and mining. Farm a lot of soybeans, coffee and cattle, this ship this globally. They mine for iron. They sell this too!!!!
• serious development challenge, inequality of rich and poor. Rapid urbanisation (population growth). Deforestation of the Amazon rail forest resulting in a massive risk to bio diversity, this is also bad for climate change. Lack of affordable housing etc
Culture defining region in Europe
•Culture think: common language, food, dialect, tradition, clothes, history. Culture makes something unique.
• Bavaria, Germany. This is a cultural region as it has direct differences in tradition to the rest of Germany. Roman Catholic They have their own dialect, traditions such as Oktoberfest. Public holidays they have made. All these things help form a sense of identity, another important answer is Food - pretzels hot dogs also define a region. Everything that makes a culture unique is a culture defying moment.
These shared cultural characteristics (between each other) give Bavaria a strong regional identity
