Haven’t moved out yet
Hi, I’m curious if you think I need to move out of my parents house or if I should stay with them so I can save to buy a home.
I am 26… turning 27.
My parents have been awesome and haven’t charged me any rent. They have a very nice home and I’ve been really lucky. I have space in the home. I have a great relationship with them and love them very much.
I am dating 4 years and we live an hour from each other. We make it work but I can’t say it’s been super easy on our relationship.
At the same time. I feel like I really really really need to move out. I just feel trapped and like I can’t go be me. I can’t go take on the world yet. Like I’m being held back.
I am just so ready to move out. I love my parents and respect them and am so grateful. But I am ready.
I should only have 1-2 years left and I can buy a home.
Or I move out by November and that could be pushed back 1-3 additional years to get enough for down payment. I want to put 20% down so my payments aren’t so bad.
