Buying a ~10 year old hybrid car: bad idea?

I've been thinking about buying a hybrid (not plug-in) maybe next year but I'm not interested in a car that's more than $15-$17k. I don't really do a lot of driving, just to work and back.

One of my friends bought a 2018 Mazda CX-5 for $15k off Carvana, and it of course had a long laundry list of things wrong with it (needed a whole new transmission!) but it was covered by the Carvana warranty so he didn't pay for anything.

I know after the 10 year mark the battery and warranty are probably at the end of their lives. But, couldn't you use the 100 day warranty through Carvana to get the battery replaced? Would it be an issue getting them to cover that cost?

Should I just abandon the idea of getting a hybrid and opt for an ICE instead?

Mini washer & dryer vs. handwashing?

I'm going to be moving into my first RV soon, excited for the lifestyle change and the opportunity to pick up the skills needed to maintain it. The only thing I've had a struggle wrapping my head around is, how do you get your laundry done efficiently? Sheets, towels, etc. as well?

Do you handwash or have a small washer/dryer? Do you just opt for a laundromat? Which one is the most convenient?

Almost every time I go into a restaurant, boba/coffee shop, whatever, the music is so insanely loud I have to raise my voice to talk to the server or someone I'm with. Why is this normal? Do people like this? It's just radio music too which I think a lot of people can agree is boring at best. It made working at a sushi bar challenging too because I'd have to shout at customers for them to hear me and vice versa.

The few times I have been to a quiet restaurant with no/very low music, it's sooo pleasant and makes eating out an actual relaxing activity and not "holy hell I need to finish eating and LEAVE"

so....why? Doesn't loud music just make everyone's lives a little harder?
