Any conservative case ideas that work under this year’s resolution?

As some context, I have one year of experience and it took me about four tournaments to even really understand what I was doing. The CX program at school is also considerably small, we are speech and congress heavy, and we get minimal instruction from captains and coaches. I only have one year left of high school but want to excel and become a competitive debater. What can I do to better prepare myself for this coming season and advance my skills?
Thanks
