Star Forge Updates & ACE Launch Retrospective
Morning folks. I've been hard at work on some updates to Star Forge features. For those of you who are new, https://star-forge.tools is a listbuilder I built with fully remastered high resolution cards, free non-commercial printing of any armada cards & ship base tokens, and integrations into T5 and other tools.
Collection View
If you check under your user settings, and click "My Collection" you can now add models, cards, and expansions from all content available on Star Forge to your collection. This also includes card variants, meaning if you own an old mini-sized version of an upgrade, you can specify that.
In addition, you can print off full expansions and individual items by pressing the "Print Cards" button in the top right. This works similar to the "Print n Play" already present in Star Forge to print out your lists, but this should make it a little easier to print cards in bulk.
Cleanup
Across the application, I've done some performance improvements and UI cleanup. You should notice things load a bit faster and the website and webapp should run much better on older devices.
Stats View
The Stats view has received a visual overhaul with more up to date data and additional features. Specifically you can check out historical line-graph views of relative commander percentages, additional stats for ships and upgrades, and more.
Community Edition Launch Retrospective
Since the launch of Community Edition, Star Forge has reached a new peak concurrent user count, and we've had nearly 15000 fleets saved to accounts since the start of the month.
We're seeing much higher usage rates for the new or adjusted items (as expected), as well as much more variety in listbuilt fleets across the board. We'll see if these trends hold true as we move away from release and the "hype cycle" dies down.
As for new stuff coming soon, sure would be convenient to play Armada in your browser...
:)
