I do not understand why DSM'S are so far behind on thinking and logic
I'm an RSM and today another RSM was in charge for the first time in the morning, so it was decided for me to be there just to help them out and guide them. Now since it's the day before snow season (here in Australia it gets weirdly hectic) and on Thursday, we managed to build all the snow stuff beforehand. Incredibly easy. Now luckily we had 5 people so we got everything done before 8 (Freezer, Bread etc).
A pet peeve of mine is everytime there's 5 people, the logic of the managers is to send someone home, but this week shouldn't be an issue for the OE, mainly because it can be explained as "oh we have alot of stuff to prepare", it also helps us fix and tidy and condense specials so EASILY. and we did do that. Around 25 tables condensed, our old specials reduced/write off etc. And it's all so clean flat out done in 2 hours.
low and behold the most lazy and power hungry dsm in history walks in and says " nah this ruins our plans" like whatchu mean?? At night there's going to be 4 managers (YES MANAGERS, 2 DSM'S, 1 asm and 1 RSM rostered) so the easiest thing for them to do is to, rerun anything else like alcohol, other items, date checking and all that. I built the damn tables yesterday. it was supposed to be my week off, preparing for my uni stuff and the logic is astounding. DMS'S and even ASM'S don't think ahead at all. The OE is fine, hours are good. and the RSM who is in charge had the idea and worked her butt off for it.
That DSM is currently on like a watch out list because the way he works and overall professionalism is bleh and the asm is something else.
