I want to start by saying that I absolutely love Crimson Desert. I’m having a fantastic time with this game. The exploration, combat, world, quests, freedom to build your character however you want, all of it is fucking amazing.

But the trading system? Jesus Christ.

I recently started doing some trading because I need Camp Funds to rebuild Pailune, and apparently some of these construction contracts require around 130,000 Camp Funds. So I figured, fine, I’ll engage with the trading system.

I bought some goods, packed them into the wagon, and drove all the way to Demeniss to sell them.
Then I had to do another quest, so I needed the wagon somewhere else. I paid to retrieve it, which apparently also meant losing some of the merchandise I had stored in it.

Fine. Whatever.

So now I have to travel all the way back to the merchant hub to buy more goods, load the wagon, and then take the whole thing to Hernand to sell it.
Except on the way to the merchant hub, bandits attacked me.

So I tried to escape with the horses and wagon. While escaping, I accidentally hit two merchants on the road.

Now I’m wanted for violence.

So I’m trying to get out of the crime area before the timer expires, because apparently if I leave the area quickly enough, I can avoid getting the bounty.

I barely manage to escape.

Then, while fleeing with the wagon, I accidentally hit a brazier.

The entire fucking merchant hub catches fire.

For some reason, this apparently isn’t a crime.
But my horses and wagon are now on fire.

The horses die.

The wagon gets destroyed.

At this point I just stared at the screen for a moment and thought:

Fuck this.

I reloaded an earlier save.
