Well, my slander finale is in editing hell right now, so I thought "why not make this instead."

So, here is my ultimate guide to something that'll probably die out really soon, filled with steps, mistakes I made and how any future slanderer can avoid them.

Step 1: Pick an Agenda

When you're starting out, you don't wanna do what I did, which was try to slander everyone equally. It just leads to you having bias, and makes it harder for you in the long run. So, here's what you should do instead.

Pick a character to glaze no matter what. This can be literally anyone, protag, side character, antagonist, Th3Blurpenstien, literally anyone. This is going to be the character you will defend with your life on the line. Typically, you should pick their enemies as people to slander, but you don't have too. This is arguably more important than picking a character to hate on, because your never going to go back on this (Unless you pick lomedy, then it might be over).

Next, pick a character to hate no matter what. It doesn't have to be valid, slander is often just false a lot of the time. Just pick someone who you really despise and put that hatred into your slander.

Step 2: Making the slander

There's a lot of different ways to slander.

If you listen to others (I wouldn't reccomend listenting to others about what and what isn't slander because it tends to limit your capablities), it's basically just the slander template +- a few other things.

But, to me, as long as your glazing/hating on a character in a funny or at least somewhat humurous way, that is slander or glaze respectively.

There are a lot of differents facetes to slander. The Aforementioned slander template, which I created is below:

There is TECHNICALLY a way your supposed to structure it which is also below this, but hey, I'm not opposed to innovation, go ham bro.

\"Normal\" formatting

When it comes to this template, a lot of the work needs to be finding feats, or antifeats of the character being slandered. Feats and antifeats are just things that are glazeable and slanderable respectively.

These typically are traits/actions of a character that irritate you or entertain you respectively. I.e. Parrot anti-feat is blowing up the law chungies.

It's very easy to do this with hated characters, like LettuceK (BUM) but it's possible for characters that are liked too, like Theo or Egg. When your struggling with finding THEIR antifeats, you can go to their fans. Typically, the community provides plenty of things to slander a character with.

There is also the "Glaze template" made by VulcanMidas, which I'm including here out of respect. If you choose to use it, that is up to you.

You can also choose to not use the template at all. Some of my favorite slander is just people ranting in text form. And that's fine, as long as you manage to make it somewhat humurous. There is a pretty fine line between slander and hate posting. I personally don't know how to define it, but as long as people can tell your somewhat joking, it's fine.

Finally, you can use various other images to portray your hatred. If you want some examples, just search slander of a popular community you're in, and you'll find. Some of the best are in the JJK, One piece and Invincible communities lowkey.

Step 3: Posting the Slander

One of the big mistakes a lot of people (WeakT) made when starting was not making it so that the image showed up without someone having to click. I never had this issue, so I can't really comment on how to fix it, but I'd assume it's a reddit setting.

The next thing you want to do is make a relatively vauge title. Make it so that the character in the slander isn't particularly apparent until the viewer sees the actual image.

From there, the rest is up to how good your slander is and how many people see it.

Step 4: Keeping Active

This is made a lot easier by the fact that unstable is ongoing, but you should try to post slander whenever you feel, and not be obligated by schedules or stuff.

Slander is a very emotion driven kind of thing, so forcing it isn't very good (Just look at my CoinMonke slander.)

Another thing you should do is not limit yourself to one character or one goal. Slander whoever and however you want. Although, I'd reccomend keeping to your agenda.

Common Mistakes (AKA mistakes I made)

Do NOT:

Try to slander everyone - just ends in burnout
Try to make it genuine hate - Slander is humorous, and while hating is the backbone of slander, actual hate is kinda just annoying.
Use only one tempalte - Just gets boring really quickly, for you and for the subreddit

Do:

Learn different styles - self explanatory
Pace yourself - you can post whenever you want/feel like
Don't listen to others if it hinders you - If you think you did a good job, then that's a lot. (Just don't be a dick.)

Actor AU is basically that all the characters exist and shit, but the story is acted out for drama/entertainement.

Genuinely curious, because I see these AUs like EVERYWHERE. I dunno how someone would pull it off, but I'd still wanna see something like it.
