Following last year’s success in driving From Edinburgh to Tuscany and back in our Seal U DM-i Boost, we decided to shake things up this year and head for Denmark and Sweden, using the ferry route between Newcastle and Amsterdam.
We’re back and, as the trip notes from last year seemed reasonably popular, I’ll pull together some driving observations and pics and post here, in the coming days.

Hi! We’re visiting Denmark from Scotland and staying in a cabin.
We’ve just lost electricity to parts of the cabin.
I’m reasonably handy with DIY, including basic electrical work, but this fusebox is like nothing I’ve seen before.
It looks like there are some RCDs - none have ‘tripped’? But the rest of the ‘switches’ look like gates for locking physical fuses in place.
What’s the easiest and safest way to find out which fuse has blown and to replace it?
Edit: Danish 3-prong electrical sockets look so happy 🙂

Following the exploration of suggestions to the post linked below, I placed an order for the 4 litre Swedish slingbag I’d mentioned in the replies.
My requirements were based on my need to travel as light but as conveniently as possible with my Steam Deck while on business travel…
- must fit my Steam Deck in a JSAUX modcase
- my 20,000 mAh uGreen power bank with modstrap
- at least 1x phone
- my passport
- be wearable under a jacket with the bag at the front.
…and be no bigger than that.
Bag arrived today and it’s just about perfect.
- deck fits in the main compartment.
- Phone fits into the space between the grips.
- Powerbank fits in the front pocket
- passport will fit anywhere
I’ll put a small, screw-tight carabiner through the quick release clips on the strap and it’ll be good to go.
