What is the best way to share Word documents for simultaneous collaboration for student work? Having trouble sharing word documents. Where should they be uploaded to? How should they be accessed? Help!!

What programme/method is the best to preserve the original formatting of text when copy/pasting into a Brightspace forum?
I like to write my responses in Word or Google Docs first but usually the font /formatting get messed up.
