does anyone know why the University chose not to proceed with the appointment of University President for Wendy Cukier in 2016?
I am a current grade 11 student soon entering the twelfth grade, and I am planning on applying to either the J/I or I/S con-ed program at Brock. I have heard from many current students (from reading online) that there are certain “exit requirements” that you need to achieve before graduating from your program. However, I have heard these people say that some of these requirements can be met by courses you take in high school before entering university, such as grade 12 history and grade 12 geography. I already have grade 12 history on my timetable, but not grade 12 geography because it is not being offered in the 2026-2027 year (my graduating year). Additionally, I was also placed into the IDC4U (peer tutoring) course by my guidance counsellor after she told me that her daughter could have avoided taking a course or two in university had she taken this course during high school. I was wondering if there were any other credits I could take while I am ahead to give me more freedom in choosing my electives? Also, if the grade 12 history course I am taking is CHY4U— a WORLD history course, not a CANADIAN history course, would it still count towards the credit? (The only U-level history course offered in my school) I have yet to decide on whether I will pursue J/I education or I/S education but I am currently leaning on the latter. The courses I have planned on my timetable for next year (but are not yet set in stone) are as follows: ENG4U, EWC4U, AMI4M, MDM4U, FSF4U, HHS4U, HHG4MC and CHY4U. My two planned alternates are AMG4M and HSB4UC. Of course, I will also be taking two spares so I wont be taking ALL of these. Over the summer, I will be taking HZT4U and SBI3U (I didn’t take biology previously, but might take 4U in my grade 12 year to broaden my options).
*Edit: also worth noting I plan on having History as my first teachable and French as a second language as my second teachable.
hi everyone, brock med sci was originally my last choice and i’ve gotten into almost every other program i’ve applied for
my average is a 92% top 6 with a 93% in grade 12 bio and a 83% in grade 12 chem
if i go to brock i’ll be able to live at home but my main goal is to go to the program that gives me the best gpa.
if i attend brock med sci it’ll be for pre med which is why i want to maximize my gpa.
is anyone here in med sci at brock and if so how is it? is it a decent pre med program?
for some reason two of my final grades have a + attached to them?? i thought brock only used straight letters? all of my other grades (even ones higher than these) and they’re just a straight letter. i feel like i’m going crazy lol does anyone else have this or know why
Hi everyone!
I was just wondering if anyone knows when we typically get emailed about whether we’re approved to graduate? Since it’s already May 15th, I’m starting to get a little stressed waiting 😅
Has anyone received an approval email yet?
For those who have graduated before, do you remember when you received the confirmation email? Do they send them out by department, or does everyone usually get notified at the same time?
Thanks in advance!
Final grades are now official in your my.brocku.ca portal!!
Have a great summer everyone!
Exactly what the title says. Just thought I'd let everyone know.
I stoped by Tim Hortons near the International Centre with my friend yesterday. And I saw a lot of Gooses were walking and eating some flowers. It's first time to touch with Animals on Campus, so I was surprised at the fact that Canadians didn't care what they do on the street. That was culture shock for me cuz if it was in Japan, we would call the police upon seeing Any animals. anw, i'm content with Canadian life so far with daily awareness I found from such Cultual differences.

How do online exams work for this asynchronous course? I have professor Marc James and am taking the course over the spring. There is a 35% final exam, is this cameras on? How does it work?

Hello,
I am unsure if the policy for 2 guests is a strict policy this year for BrockU Convocation, but I was just wondering if anybody has 2 extra tickets they are not using for convocation, I’m trying to get my sister and my boyfriend to be able to come.
My grad is June 11th at 10am :)
Please if you can!🫶🏼🫶🏼
(P.S. I am broke🥲)
Wanted to compare the campus life of York versus Brock, is this month a good time to drop by and just walk around? Not looking for a campus tour, I want to see it myself without someone guiding me. Thanks!
I have emailed almost 20 professors asking for an opportunity to be in their lab next year for the HLSC 4F90 course but all I get is « sorry, we have a full cohort of students at the moment ». I have straight As, I have received multiple scholarships for my participation and academic achievements, but these labs just seem to never accept anybody new.
I really want to get some experience before doing my masters.
Anyone else in the same boat?
