What’s your GBP call conversion rate right now?

I’m working with 3 businesses. Two of them are getting 70+ calls, and one is getting 300+ calls. But actual leads are only around 35%, and the close rate is about 20%.

Lately, I’ve been noticing a lot more spam and marketing calls than before. Previously, the close rate was 30%+.

At this point, I’m trying to expand the ranking area to bring in more quality leads.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue? What’s working for you guys?

10 leads. 2 customers – what’s going wrong?

I am working with a cleaning service business that gets around 7–8 calls, sometimes even 10 calls per day. And we can book at least 85% to 90% of them.

People often claim that their conversion ratio is very poor. If 10 people call, only 2–3 of them convert, and the rest go away.

Here are the hacks:

Subcontractors:
If you are getting calls from 200 KM away, make deals with subcontractors. So, if you can’t do the job yourself, you can sell the leads to someone else.

CRM Software / Google Sheets:
After getting a call, try to collect their name and email. You have to follow up with them via text, email, and calls. Some customers are too busy and won’t answer your calls, so you need to follow up through email and text messages.

Multiple Companies:
This one sounds funny, but trust me, it works. When customers look for a service, they usually call several companies and try to find the cheapest option. If you have 3–4 companies, you can offer slightly different prices. But don’t make the difference too big, just $5 up or down. If a customer rejects one company, you still have 3 more chances to book them.

I have been working with this company for the past 7 months, and their conversion rate is still the same.

How about your/client business conversion rate?

I got scammed by a dentist client.

Me and my team have been working for a dentist in Hartford, CT for almost 3 months now. Before starting, we made a deal that he would review our work for the first 15 days. We agreed, completed the work, and he was happy with the results. After that, he wanted to continue working with us long-term.

It’s now been almost 3 months, and both his website and Google Business Profile are ranking well. But recently, he completely stopped responding to our messages and hasn’t paid us.

This is not the first time this has happened to me while working with clients outside of marketplaces.

How do you guys avoid situations like this? What systems or contracts do you use to protect yourselves from clients disappearing after getting results?
