I’m a finance student and many companies have 15+ positions in finance. I’ve heard both sides that applying to all leads to more opportunities and it does not hurt. While I heard that the recruiters will see you applied to all and say that your not interested enough and hurts your story so hurts all your applications.

I want your thoughts on the most optimal way to get internship whether it’s applying all or hand selecting one or two or more.
I’m a finance college student and I feel like my school has a weak alumni program. So it’s hard to reach out to people I have a connection with. I would be grateful to have a coffee chat with anyone in the finance industry to understand what they do and how recruiting was for them.

Currently going through recruiting and honestly the alumni network at my current university isn't the best. I want to work at a well known firm and open to any finance position. I am going into my junior year of college and honestly I lose a lot of sleep thinking about my future. I ultimately do not care about the money I would make from the internship; I care more about the experience I would gain and how it would set me up for my future. I am someone who is ambitious and grateful for any opportunity so feel free to reach out.
