How do I omit choosing certain skills when levelling up

How do I omit choosing certain skills when levelling up

I want to complete the set of skills needed to get the 'Walking Rot' combination of skills for Kel'Ghul. I just need Diplomacy and Resistance. I've got 2 slots left for skills but as I get more experience for the last few fights, I keep getting those skills offered, which I don't want. I keep pressing the 'x' button and they keep coming. If I choose one of them, I won't be able to complete the set of skills I need. Is this a bug or a feature (and I should have not accepted earlier irrelevant skills)?

EDIT: I keep having an issue pasting the screenshot but I think the description above is clear. I have 2 left slots for skills and as I fight, it keeps offering me 3 basic skills that I don't want (the same ones each time)

questions about spells

  1. What is a spell to undo enemy casting Twilight on my range units?
  2. When I have a hero that can cast a spell like Web or Twilight, and the hero is somewhere outside the castle. If I upgrade the spell in the observatory (cost: 25 alchemical dust), what do I need to do for it to take effect? It seems that it doesn't take effect straight away (to do mass Web/Twilight). Do I need to come back to a castle and visit observatory (I don't think that's the case). It doesn't seem to be taking effect straight away? Perhaps, it's a question of me gaining more levels until it takes effect? It seems there's always some delay until the hero casts the spell to all enemy units. I can't figure out what it depends on.

Edit existing maps

When I open the map editor and tried to load an existing map, I can see 3 folders and a few maps (most of them seem small 64x64). Can I not edit the maps (templates) that are available in single hero?

Beyond Necropolis

There's life beyond Necropolis. So after playing Necropolis for years (Homm3 and recently OE), I'm somewhat disappointed how necromancy works in OE and decided to try other fractions. I'm surprised about how enjoyable Dungeon is. Have played it for a few days and I've managed to get over the (necromancy) expectation that I'll keep accumulating units with fights. I'm not a great player so still learning how not to lose units in fights but I think I'm gradually improving and enjoy it. Today I've played schism and was also pretty happy with the experience. Different approach and different sort of fun.
No real question here. Just sharing (surprising for me) experience that necromancy is not everything and other factions are equally fun to play

So I played a multiplayer for the first time (suffice it to say I lost). A have a question about the timer. What are the rules for the timer? I gathered when one battles, the time remaining goes up. Sometimes I'd end my round and wait a couple of minutes and the timer would go up to 14:xx, identical for both players (although I was waiting for a few minutes). Sometimes, I'd have more time. I guess the opponent had more battles. What are the rules?

I enjoyed it but I guess I need to get better at breaking out (Jebus) much quicker

I think I understand the concept but I have no idea how to use it in practice. Whenever I have Raising undead turned on, I can see my units resurrect after a battle (lower level units). When I turn it off, the necromancy energy quickly fills up to full (2000/2000) but nothing happens after each battle. In the battle summary I'm supposed to see some option to utilise it. I don't see anything. I'm playing Marl with expert necromancy. Any help?
