Feeling validated and seen

I left the religion 18 years ago. I have been diagnosed with cPTSD because of it. I have struggled with depression since I was 16 (forced to be baptized at 14), I’m 46 now. I have tried so many antidepressants, did TMS and it didn’t work and I’m currently attending a mental health facility (for the second time). The next medication they want me to try required me to have an appointment with another psychiatrist. I saw him today and he asked me some questions. He said “I see you were involved in a cult.” I have never called it that with my current psychiatrist. But hearing it from this doctor made me feel so validated and seen. I started crying and continued crying on my way home. This cult has done so much damage to me. I’m hoping I can find the relief I need.

Sick of Costco

I currently work at Costco in the pharmacy department. I have been with this company for almost 15 years in October. I feel like the last few years have gotten really bad. More is expected from you. There are numbers that need to be met. More, more, more. It’s gotten so ridiculous. We have to be super careful in pharmacy, we’re dealing with people’s lives. One mistake could harm or kill someone. I’m currently on a LOA and can’t fathom going back to work. I am a very good employee, I can handle stress but this time it’s different. The stress has become too much. I can’t take it anymore. I want to quit and save whatever dignity I have left. Yes, it’s a good paying job. The benefits are great. But at what cost to your mental health and wellbeing?
