high schooler here; need some help using mat lab for a research project

any tutorials that someone can recommend to learn how to create plots from using bio gps data? my whole goal is to be able to predict the outcome of a certain type of cell differentiating into 3 other types. looking for the data sets to import has been hard, because nothing really on the internet is in-your-face like "here is a data set of everytime a MSC has differentiated into a bone cell"

i could just use some help. also im using 30-day free matlab rn so im kinda struggling

local high schooler needs help

context: i am a high schooler asking bc i often email adults for extracurriculars i do and my dad has really given me a lot of shit for starting emails off with "Hello! XYZ"

i use all the write spacing/indenting and sign off my emails with Best, *name*. + proper grammar ofc.

so far, all adults ive contacted with "Hello! I hope you are well..." respond to my requests and i havent gotten anyone telling me that its informal except for my dad and a woman who runs a nonprofit i work at. not only informal, but they call me disrespectful and arrogant and irresponsible (and stupid, cherry on top).

it is important to note my dad and the woman are both indian. you might be wondering why. to be honest, i am thinking it is because they both feel the need to impress more as they are immigrants. I KNOW THAT SOUNDS CRAZY BELIEVE ME. but i email all kinds of people and i am very respectful and formal and my dad still verbally abuses me for starting an email with "Hello!" i really cannot get to the bottom of this. ****also important. if i know the person's name, or if i have been emailing them for a while, i use their name and proper prefix

can someone who works a "real 9-5 job" please tell me if im crazy? my dads #1 justification is that i have never actually been in the workforce so i don't actually know email ettiquette at all. im not saying he's wrong, but i have been using gmail for non-academic/semi-professional reasons for a while. with responses/results.

am i cooked (not a joke at all)

so i'm class of 27 applying for colleges rn and im really scared bc my rank is not good anymore

for context i took 6 aps and 4 dual-enrollment courses and got an a in all of them except one DE class.

my school follows 2 semesters, fall and spring. after my fall sem grades were updated my rank was 21 out of 474. after 3 more aps and 3 spcc classes (one of which i got an 85 in) my class rank dropped to 30

im really freaked out. i know its not that crazy of a drop and 30 is generally fine, but i know class rank is really important and im really disappointed and confused about how my rank dropped when i worked so hard this semester to maintain everything

i knew my UW gpa was going to drop. but i thought my WGPA and class rank would increase. but my gpa only increased from 4.6 to 4.654. i genuinely don't know what to expecr anymore and im really scared for apps now

additional info: im aiming for unis like ncsu, unc chapel hill, virginia tech, cmu, georgia tech, uiuc, purdue, and umic. my safeties are uncc and uncg (local schools)

also i dont wanna list my ecs out (lazy) but i currently have a 1530 on my sat and 33 on ACT (act is neglible rn though because i took it on a whim bc my school offered it and didn't study at all.)

PLEASE COMFORT ME AND I PROMISE IM NOT BEING SARCASTIC IM SUCH A CHUD IN MY LIFE
