Should I get a daschund?
Hi everyone, I'm deciding whether to get a dog, and will be a first time dog owner. I'm single, 31F, and work from home and I really want a little weenie of my own.
I'm scared to pull the trigger because I know having a dog is a huge commitment and responsibility, that they are more than "cute." I'm very responsible in general, and I know I have to be locked in when raising my own pup. If I were a dog mom, I'd made sure I'd be a good and responsible one.
What holds me back is I think it's the giving up the personal freedom and the financial responsibility. I feel like I can afford it... I make low 6 figures and am currently renting. I live in a big city area. Has anyone ever felt like this before deciding to get a dog? Those who relate to my experience or situation and got one, how was your experience?
